Making matzo at Zimmer Preschool in Basking Ridge
The students at the Zimmer Preschool at the Chabad Jewish Center on Valley Road in the Basking Ridge section prepared for the start of Passover on Monday night by learning to make their own matzo.
Last week, the students ground the wheat, mixed the dough, rolled the matzo and baked it in an oven.
Rabbi Mendy Herson, the spiritual director of Chabad Jewish Center, was on hand to answer questions and to supervise the process.
The thin, crispy unleavened bread is eaten by Jews during Passover.
