- Where is your child care center on Google?

How does your Child Care Center rate?
Do a search for daycare or child care in your town or area. How do you rate? Once you find your center, click through the links to ensure accuracy. Submit an inquiry as a potential parent to see how your own system works. For an online search result you want to be certain you have email contact information so that a parent who is searching after hours can easily make contact with you, when a phone call won’t work because your center is closed. Think like a parent, and make it easy for them to find you.
Utilize digital “Word Of Mouth” to grow your business.
Let’s get back to the word of mouth element. Traditionally we’ve viewed this as one parent talking to their neighbor, or a friend at the grocery store. Not any longer. Under your Center’s name in Google results, you can click on “Directions, hours and more>>” and you’ll come to a screen with “Reviews“. Ask a couple of your parents who’ve complimented your staff or programs to go online and write a review. If they are unable to get online to write it, ask them to write it down, and you can submit it to your reviews, with their name(s).

- Then ask your parents to submit reviews!
Stand out from your competition
Your word-of-mouth campaign just leaped out in front of the competition. You’ve added a real person, and parent, as a 24-hour spokesman for your center. For more tips go to Google’s Local Business Center to see how to update your information, add your own photos to Google results and manage your listing all for free!
Take a crack at it, and see how easy it is to improve your online presence. Post a comment and share with others how effective and easy it was (or if you get stuck, send me a note and I’ll respond promptly!)
