Massachusetts Child Care Licensure and Insurance Regulations

The Department of Early Education and Care (EEC)in its capacity as a licensing agency, licenses all child care programs in Massachusetts. EEC enforces strong licensing standards for the health, safety and education of all children in child care. Our goal is to ensure that all providers offer the same high level of child care.  In each of EEC’s five regional offices across the state there are licensors who are responsible for the licensing of child care programs.

If you would like to receive email updates on EECs progress, please complete the email form.  If you have a specific question, please send your email to the Commissioner’s Office at commissioners.office@massmail.state.ma.us.
